Basketball Game Preview: Williamsport Wildcats vs. Catoctin Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Williamsport sitting on four straight victories and Catoctin on seven.

Last Friday, Williamsport strolled past North Hagerstown with points to spare, taking the game 37-23.

Francis Scott Key typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Catoctin proved too difficult a challenge. They secured a 44-40 W over the Eagles.

Catoctin's win came from a few key players Williamsport will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kayden Glotfelty, who posted 13 points. Brooke Williams was another key player, putting up 12 points along with six blocks and five boards.

Catoctin's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points over those games. As for Williamsport, their record now sits at 16-4.

Williamsport came up short against Catoctin when the teams last played on February 7th, falling 40-27. Can Williamsport avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
