The Miller Buccaneers took a 23-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sinton Pirates on Friday. The Buccaneers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Although Miller took the loss, they still got scores from Corey Holmes and Broderick Taylor. Another player making a difference was Eathan Vela, who picked up 173 receiving yards.

Sinton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Triston Handson led the charge by rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 passes. Jacoby James was Handson's top target, picking up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
