Volleyball Recap: Forestburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Forestburg managed to slip by Perrin-Whitt the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Longhorns lost 3-0 to the Pirates on Tuesday. The Longhorns just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

While Forestburg ultimately came up short, they really made Perrin-Whitt work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18, 25-22.

Brenna Briles paced Forestburg's offense, picking up 19 kills. Briles got some help from Jocelyn Rich and her 22 assists. Briles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Forestburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Perrin-Whitt, they moved to 21-9-2 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Forestburg will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Saint Jo at 5:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Perrin-Whitt, they will square off against Chico at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
