Ichabod Crane has gone a perfect 10-0 against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Riders will face off against the Ravens at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ichabod Crane has four straight wins, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Ichabod Crane had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt La Salle Institute on Wednesday. The Riders were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Cadets. Considering the Riders have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kari Graziano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abbey Milazzo, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Madison Clark, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Ichabod Crane was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk and Voorheesville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Ravens fell 5-2 to the Blackbirds on Tuesday.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Cross, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Madison Wilcox also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Ichabod Crane pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ichabod Crane has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. It's a different story for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, though, as they've only averaged .347. Will they be able to contain Ichabod Crane's hitters?
Ichabod Crane took their victory against Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 14-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Riders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
