Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aubrie Parrish and Raelynn Nickel Lead Vision to Victory + How To Watch

Vision won the last time they faced Horseshoe Bend and things went their way on Saturday too. Vision blew past Horseshoe Bend 53-27.

Vision was led to victory by Raelynn Nickel and Aubrie Parrish. Nickel almost dropped a triple-double with 15 points, ten assists, and nine steals, while Parrish dropped a double-double with 21 points and 21 boards. Nickel has been hot for a while, having posted three or more steals the last 24 times she's played. Abby Porterfield was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

Vision smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 21 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Horseshoe Bend had strong showings from Kimber Jones, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 boards, and Ember Moroney, who went 7-for-8 on her way to 14 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was London Parker, who posted two points.

The win got Vision back to even at 2-2. As for Horseshoe Bend, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Vision and Horseshoe Bend will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Vision sees the court they'll take on Treasure Valley Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Horseshoe Bend, their break will end when they face Garden Valley at 6:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
