It was a good run, but East Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 73-57 to the Bishop Kelley Comets. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cardinals came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Comets are ranked 147th).

East Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Bishop Kelley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

East Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-62 defeat against Collinsville on the 14th. Bishop Kelley has also already played their next game, a 92-50 loss against Booker T. Washington on the 14th.
