It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Liberty ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles 2-1. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Blue Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Liberty's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was William Cruz, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Nazareth Area, they moved to 13-5 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Liberty will challenge Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nazareth Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pocono Mountain East at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
