Basketball Recap: Belleville Mennonite Takes a Loss

Belleville Mennonite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Johnstown Christian Bluejays. The Thunder were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Belleville Mennonite's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Johnstown Christian, they moved to 3-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Belleville Mennonite will be playing in front of their home fans against Northumberland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Johnstown Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
