Softball Recap: Arendell Parrott Academy Takes a Loss

Arendell Parrott Academy extended their losing streak to nine on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-14 in the process. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Liberty Christian Academy Heat. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Heat earlier this season, when they won 7-2.

As for Liberty Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

For Liberty Christian Academy's part, Peyton Hardison was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Hardison has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Eden Kennedy was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Arendell Parrott Academy nor Liberty Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
