Basketball Game Preview: Weston Ranch Cougars vs. Inderkum Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Weston Ranch Cougars duke it out with the Inderkum Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Weston Ranch comes in on five and Inderkum on 13.

Last Saturday, Weston Ranch got the win against St. Patrick-St. Vincent by a conclusive 70-50. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Darrion Lilly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. Damien Rease was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Weston Ranch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, everything went Inderkum's way against Christian Brothers on Monday as Inderkum made off with an 85-60 win. The Tigers is also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the nine match they've won by 20+ points or more this season.

Weston Ranch has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for Inderkum, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Weston Ranch came up short against Inderkum in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 68-63. Can Weston Ranch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
