Preview: Central Rebels vs. West County Bulldogs

Central is 6-0 against West County since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Central Rebels the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the West County Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Central knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully West County likes a good challenge.

Even though Farmington scored an imposing 85 points on Friday, Central still came out on top. Central secured a 89-85 W over Farmington. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Farmington is ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jobe Bryant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten assists. Bryant is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Casey, who scored 19 points.

Meanwhile, West County came up short against Kingston on January 5th and fell 57-45. West County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for West County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Everything came up roses for Central against West County in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 69-31 win. Does Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will West County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
