Volleyball Recap: David Anderson Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Malvern on Wednesday, David Anderson came back down to earth. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Southern Indians by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

David Anderson took Southern into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 15-9.

When it comes to explaining why David Anderson lost, don't look at Hannah Davis. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and three assists.

The defeat snapped David Anderson's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. As for Southern, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. David Anderson will venture away from home to face off against Heartland Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southern, they will challenge Valley Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
