Basketball Recap: Fairview Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Fairview Knights beat the Mead Mavericks 60-55.

Fairview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Toray Davis led the charge by going 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points. That's the most points Davis has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Spencer Brown, who earned 16 points and seven boards.

Despite the loss, Mead still got an impressive performance from Matthew Angelo, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohen Hunter, who had nine points and three steals.

Fairview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.

Fairview has already played their next contest, a 63-46 win against Erie on the 7th. As for Mead, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-56 victory against Skyline on the 7th.
