Basketball Recap: Northland Christian Takes a Loss

Northland Christian was the 17-14 winner over Tournament Opponent when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. The Northland Christian Cougars were beaten by Tournament Opponent 55-12 on Friday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Northland Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sasha Simon posted eight points and six steals. That was a full 66.7% of Northland Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Northland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Northland Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 41-23 defeat against Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart on the 14th. Tournament Opponent has also already played their next match, a 38-20 loss against Mesilla Valley Christian School on the 13th.
