Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Izabela Markiel and Mckenna Andrade Lead Clayton Valley Charter to Victory + How To Watch

Clayton Valley Charter hadn't beaten Alhambra on the road since May 21, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Ugly Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bulldogs. The Ugly Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Clayton Valley Charter was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-9, 25-16.

Clayton Valley Charter was led to victory by McKenna Andrade and Izabela Markiel. Andrade had six digs and three aces, while Markiel hit 70% for seven kills and nine aces and three digs. Those nine aces gave Markiel a new career-high. Olivia Trinidad also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Clayton Valley Charter now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Alhambra, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
