Softball Recap: James Clemens Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Limestone, James Clemens was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Skyline Vikings 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jets have posted since March 21st.

The team relied heavily on Harper Jones, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Mann, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

James Clemens is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-15-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Skyline, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

Coming up, James Clemens will challenge Decatur at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Jets are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Skyline, they will take on Fort Payne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
