Basketball Recap: May River Piles Up the Points Against Ridgeland

May River had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Ridgeland 66-29.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead May River to victory, but perhaps none more so than KJ Ford, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 19 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Darhon Major, who posted nine points and four steals.

May River wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-38 win against Whale Branch on the 22nd. As for Ridgeland, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hampton County at 7:00 p.m. on December 3.
