Baseball Recap: Highland Park Takes a Loss

Highland Park couldn't beat Mundelein on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Giants fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 8-7. The loss continues a trend for the Giants in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost five in a row.

Highland Park's record now sits at 20-5-1. As for Mundelein, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Highland Park and Mundelein will both be playing Vernon Hills the next time they take the field. The Giants will host the Cougars at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will host them at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
