Soccer Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

Jasper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 back in February.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14.

Jasper has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Bridge City on the 4th. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Silsbee on the 4th.
