Corbin was the 9-6 winner over Russell County when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Redhounds fell 5-2 to the Lakers on Monday.

Cam Estep made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

Corbin has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Russell County, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Corbin will square off against Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Russell County, they will challenge Whitley County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lakers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colonels have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
