Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was the 8-2 winner over Jefferson when they last played one another on April 8th, but their luck changed this time around. The Roughriders fell just short of the Democrats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Roughriders' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Roosevelt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Collar, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Jefferson, they moved to 3-9 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While Roosevelt had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
