Baseball Recap: Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Comes Up Short

The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Ravens came up short against the Saugerties Sawyers on Saturday and fell 8-5.

Gavin Lochner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Conor Reinish, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Saugerties, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will square off against Lansingburgh at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saugerties, they will challenge Our Lady of Lourdes at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
