Volleyball Recap: North Daviess Comes Up Short

North Daviess lost against Wood Memorial back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, North Daviess sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 14-25, 15-7.

Alexis Tolbert paced North Daviess' offense, picking up 13 kills. Tolbert got some help from Ella Woodruff and her 22 assists. Tolbert was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

North Daviess' defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-14. As for Wood Memorial, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.

North Daviess wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Evansville Christian on the 4th. As for Wood Memorial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pleasant View Christian on the 4th.
