Basketball Recap: Louisburg Comes Up Short

Louisburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 61-42 bruising from the Eisenhower Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 19 points.

Eisenhower's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ella Friend led the charge by going 6 of 12 on her way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Friend has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Payton Blue was another key player, going 6 for 15 en route to 17 points in addition to seven steals and five boards.

Louisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Eisenhower, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Louisburg Wildcats take on the Eudora Cardinals on Tuesday. As for Eisenhower, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-32 win against Chanute on the 25th.
