Baseball Recap: Chandler's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Chandler had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Highlands Ranch Falcons. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Chandler's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-4-1 when he doesn't). Yale Johnson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Chandler now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Highlands Ranch, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Chandler will challenge Fruita Monument at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highlands Ranch, they will face off against Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Highlands Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
