Baseball Recap: Mauston Gets the Win

While Mauston put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Royall. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 3-0 win over the Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Golden Eagles: when they faced off against the Panthers on Saturday, they had to take a 5-0 defeat.

Mauston's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Royall, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Coming up, Mauston will welcome Nekoosa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Papermakers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Golden Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Royall, they will venture away from home to square off against Wonewoc-Center at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.82 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
