The Carrabec Cobras will face off against the Buckfield Bucks at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Carrabec has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Carrabec is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs last Thursday, they were much more limited against Forest Hills on Thursday. They lost 12-1 to the Tigers.

Carrabec saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Caldwell, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Caldwell is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, while Buckfield put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Rangeley Lakes. The Bucks blew past the Lakers 10-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bucks in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won five in a row.
Ryder Bragg was excellent, earning one RBI, two runs, and three stolen bases. Buckfield is 2-1 when Bragg posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Austin Verrill, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Buckfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rangeley Lakes struck out eight times.
Carrabec has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Buckfield, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Carrabec has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Buckfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
