Basketball Game Preview: St. Patrick's Irish vs. Broken Bow Indians

The St. Patrick's Irish will challenge the Broken Bow Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

St. Patrick's is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Cozad just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. The game between them and the Haymakers didn't end well, with St. Patrick's falling 64-48.

Meanwhile, Broken Bow came up short against Arlington on Saturday, falling 63-41. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

St. Patrick's will have to contain Dominic Nowak as he made an impact in Broken Bow's last game. He went 6 for 15 on his way to 13 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Jackson, who posted six points and five boards.

Broken Bow has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for St. Patrick's, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

St. Patrick's didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Broken Bow in their previous meeting back in December of 2020, but they still walked away with a 36-32 victory.
