Sterlington faced Erath in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bobcats 5-3. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Sterlington pushed their record up to 35-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Erath, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-14-1.

As of now, neither Sterlington nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
