Volleyball Game Preview: James River Midlothian Rapids vs. Grassfield Grizzlies

The James River Midlothian Rapids will take on the Grassfield Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

James River Midlothian lost 3-0 to Manchester on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Grassfield had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Hickory. The game was the first time the Grizzlies have beaten the Hawks on their court since August 30, 2016.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-16.

James River Midlothian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Grassfield, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

James River Midlothian was able to grind out a solid win over Grassfield in their previous matchup back in November of 2016, winning 3-1. Do the Rapids have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
