Soccer Recap: Vista Ridge Comes Up Short

After flying high against Palmer last Tuesday, Vista Ridge came back down to earth. Wolves lost 6-1 to the Liberty Lancers on Thursday. Vista Ridge have struggled against Liberty recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Vista Ridge's goal came courtesy of Ava Case, who's now up to four this season.

Vista Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Liberty, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3-2.

Looking ahead, Vista Ridge will stay at home for another game and welcome Canon City at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Liberty, they are taking a road trip to square off against Overland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Liberty will be up against Overland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.25 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
