Softball Recap: West Wendover Wolverines vs. Oasis Academy Bighorns
West Wendover had lost three straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 6-16 to make it four. They came up short against the Oasis Academy Bighorns, falling 17-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bighorns this season, with their most recent loss being a 18-2 defeat on Saturday.
West Wendover saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexa Aranda, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI.
As for Oasis Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.

Looking ahead, West Wendover will be playing in front of their home fans against Incline at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Oasis Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
