Football Game Preview: Pleasant Valley Vikings vs. Foothill Cougars + How To Watch

Pleasant Valley has gone 8-2 against Foothill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will square off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Pleasant Valley and Chico have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Vikings came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 16-7. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Titus Andrus had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 252 yards and a pair of scores. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Pleasant Valley is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Andrus was just one part of a punishing run game: Pleasant Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 183 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Foothill sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-19 win over Red Bluff on Friday.

Pleasant Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Foothill, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Pleasant Valley against Foothill in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
