Basketball Game Preview: New Oxford Colonials vs. West York Area Bulldogs

The New Oxford Colonials will take on the West York Area Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Saturday, New Oxford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-52 to Delone Catholic. The defeat continues a trend for the Colonials in their matchups with the Squires: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, West York Area waltzed into their match on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They took down the Warriors 57-39. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the Warriors are ranked 585th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West York Area is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for New Oxford, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
