Volleyball Game Preview: North Union Wildcats vs. Indian Lake Lakers

North Union is 2-8 against Indian Lake since October of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Lakers at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, North Union made easy work of Graham Local and carried off a 3-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

North Union was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-21, 25-17.

North Union can attribute much of their success to Emma McElroy, who had 15 digs.

Meanwhile, Indian Lake was able to grind out a solid win over Shawnee on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Indian Lake's win came from a few key players North Union will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Addyson Roby, who had 15 assists and nine digs. Roby is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Ross, who had 17 digs.

North Union's record now sits at 11-6. As for Indian Lake, their record is now 14-2.

North Union suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Indian Lake in their previous meeting on September 4th. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
