The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 57-6 win over NOVA Academy. With Capistrano Valley Christian ahead 40-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Capistrano Valley Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trae Johnson led the charge by scoring 13 points. Matthew Ahern was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Capistrano Valley Christian's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for NOVA Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capistrano Valley Christian will square off against San Gabriel Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. NOVA Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face E at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
