The Los Molinos Bulldogs will face off against the Burney Raiders at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Los Molinos 3.7, Burney 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Los Molinos gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Chester by a score of 4-1. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Volcanoes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Addison Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Karina Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Paige Williams was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burney). They put the hurt on Plumas Charter with a sharp 22-4 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders, who have now won seven games in a row.
Like Los Molinos, Burney also got a great game from a two-way player: Mia Perez. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Perez was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Alyssa Hawkins was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Aimee Hampton, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Burney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Los Molinos' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-5-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Burney, their win bumped their record up to 16-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Los Molinos has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Burney struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
