Recap: Landmark Christian War Eagles vs. Callaway Cavaliers
After a string of five wins, the Landmark Christian War Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a hard 61-44 fall against Callaway. If Landmark Christian hoped to take revenge for the 57-39 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the loss, Landmark Christian still got an impressive performance from Melody Painter, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Painter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amara Knowles, who scored 11 points.
Landmark Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Callaway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landmark Christian will challenge Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Callaway will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Elite Scholars Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th.
