Kirk Academy hasn't had much luck against Marshall Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Kirk Academy Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marshall Academy Patriots at 4:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Marshall Academy will be up against a hot Kirk Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Kirk Academy blew past Manchester Academy 9-2 on Monday.

Landon Rice made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Jace West was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Conner Timbs was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Marshall Academy never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against West Point as Marshall Academy made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Patriots have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Kirk Academy, Marshall Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Tucker Chumney. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Chumney was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Collin Woods and Gage Todd did most of the damage at the plate: Woods scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Todd went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Marshall Academy is undefeated when Woods posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was JJ Wright, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Marshall Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. Kirk Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0.
