Baseball Game Preview: Bell Eagles vs. San Pedro Pirates

Bell hasn't had much luck against San Pedro recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bell's offense. They fell just short of Granada Hills Charter by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 8th.

Adolfo Esquivel was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

Meanwhile, San Pedro also failed to score in their most recent game. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palos Verdes on Saturday.

San Pedro's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Bell, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.
