Softball Recap: Riverside-Durham Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Riverside-Durham can now relate to. They came up short against the Jordan Falcons on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Riverside-Durham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paisley Russell, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Riverside-Durham is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-7. As for Jordan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Riverside-Durham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jordan, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Willow Spring at 7:00 p.m. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Storm have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
