Basketball Recap: Kyle Sillars' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Danvers over Bishop Fenwick

Danvers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since December 28, 2023.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Sillars, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Sillars is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor DiTomaso, who went 5-for-7 on his way to 12 points.

Danvers' record now sits at 6-13. As for Bishop Fenwick, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Looking ahead, Danvers will host Salem Academy Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Bishop Fenwick, they are taking a road trip to take on Bedford at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday. Bishop Fenwick is facing Bedford at the right time seeing as Bedford is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
