Volleyball Recap: Kaylie Demison's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Bakersfield over West + How To Watch

East Bakersfield lost against West on October 1st and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blades took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 25-11, 25-16.

Several Blades players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaylie Demison, who had 34 digs and three aces. Demison is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 15 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Roxanna Ramirez, who had 17 digs and two aces.

West found their leader in freshman Jessica Thomas, who had 34 digs. With that strong performance, Thomas is now averaging an impressive 10.5 digs per game.

East Bakersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9-1. As for West, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10-1 record this season.
