Baseball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Takes a Loss

Sports Leadership & Management and Virgin Valley squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Sports Leadership & Management had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. The Bulls haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Alex Garcia made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Talan Everett was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Sports Leadership & Management's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Virgin Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season.

Sports Leadership & Management and Virgin Valley are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Bulls will square off against Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sports Leadership & Management is facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Virgin Valley, they will challenge The Meadows School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
