Softball Preview: Athens Warriors vs. Maroa-Forsyth Trojans
Athens is 1-7 against Maroa-Forsyth since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Warriors will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m.
Athens had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Auburn put an end to it on Tuesday. The Warriors came up short against the Trojans, falling 7-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.
Meanwhile, Maroa-Forsyth entered their tilt with PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Bluejays. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.
