Softball Recap: Watson Chapel Beats Fordyce for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Watson Chapel took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Fordyce, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Watson Chapel Wildcats skirted past the Fordyce Redbugs 12-11. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The win got Watson Chapel back to even at 5-5. As for Fordyce, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watson Chapel will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st. As for Fordyce, they will challenge Parkers Chapel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Fordyce has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
