Basketball Recap: Copan's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Copan's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They secured a 40-34 W over the Oklahoma Union Cougars. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 66-33 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2020.

Elyzabeth Odum was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 16 points and six steals.

Copan's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9. As for Oklahoma Union, they dropped their record down to 0-12-1 with the loss, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Copan will venture away from home to face off against Foyil at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Copan is facing Foyil at the right time seeing as Foyil is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Oklahoma Union, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Oklahoma Union Cougars face off against the Central Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
