Leo is 9-1 against DeKalb since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Leo Lions will host the DeKalb Barons at 7:30 p.m.

DeKalb is facing Leo at the wrong time: Leo suffered their first home loss of the season on Wednesday and they're likely out for redemption. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Hornets. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leo might have lost, but man, Leah Shappell was a machine: she went 5 of 12 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. That was a full 39% of Leo's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Collins, who had eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask DeKalb). They came out on top against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran by a score of 64-55 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Barons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

DeKalb's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Leo, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5.

Leo won a match that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2023, slipping by DeKalb 47-46. Does Leo have another victory up their sleeve, or will DeKalb turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
