Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dickson County). They were the clear victors by a 20-1 margin over the Kenwood Knights on Monday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Brynn Good was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Dickson County got a massive performance out of Coralee Grove, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth Dunnagan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Dickson County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .727. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Dickson County's win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Kenwood, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with the loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dickson County will head out to take on Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kenwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Henry County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
