Softball Recap: Hueneme Drops Highest Score of Season Against Carpinteria

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hueneme). They never let the Carpinteria Warriors get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Hueneme got a massive performance out of Delilah Pereyra, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Pereyra a new career-high. Roxanna Silva was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Hueneme always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hueneme's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Carpinteria, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-15.
